F.D.M. February Update

If you have walked with us for a long time or if you have just met us at FDM, you know we value your time and finances. It is never our heart to crowd your inbox with useless information or endless financial appeals. Today, we want to share a praise report and remind you again of a couple of areas for prayer and support.

First, our Alive Youth Retreat is set for February 15-17. Hundreds of teenagers will jam into the FFA Camp to be led into God’s presence by Simple Fool and taught God’s word by Ray Owens. It’s going to be an awesome weekend…Please pray with us! Rodney Thrift shared this principle with us many years ago:

MUCH PRAYER = MUCH POWER, LITTLE PRAYER = LITTLE POWER!

Secondly, if you were at BREAKAWAY 2008, you know that Brandon Owens injured his shoulder playing football. Brandon does not currently have insurance. His medical bills from the trip to the emergency room totaled over $1800. Here’s the PRAISE Report, after talking with the physicians and hospital his bills were slashed down to $835. Praise God! The Leadership Team of FDM has agreed to help cover that bill since Brandon was at the retreat ministering with Simple Fool. I don’t about you but most of us don’t keep an extra $835 lying around; however, we can probably all squeeze an extra $10, $20 or $50 out of our budget.

Finally, we at FDM are not underwritten by a church or denomination. We are able to do what we do because of the faithfulness of God and your generous support. If you did not make a monthly pledge at BREAKAWAY, would you consider doing that this week. At the first of the year, we have accounting and legal expenses that must be met. We also want to pay off the Owens’ home/retreat center in Chatsworth, GA. Together by God’s grace we can sustain and extend this ministry!
