Friends Are Watching

Week Four - Day Five

It is startling thought to think that people are watching you.  Paul reminded his young protege Timothy twice,
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity... Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." (1 Timothy 4:12,15 NKJV)

Paul is saying here that not only are friends watching but even adults in the fellowship. Let's use today's devotion as a wake-up call or a friendly reminder that people are watching you.

Here's today's takeaway: "My life might be the only 'Bible' that people ever read."

Titus 2:7-8 NKJV  in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,  (8)  sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

Is there anyone you need to go to and ask forgiveness for setting a bad example? Go to them this week.
