Week Four - Day Four

1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT   So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Who are you doing life with?  You can't encourage or build another up others if you aren't doing life with anyone else. Do you remember that at "ON PURPOSE" Winter Retreat 2018, we reminded you that every Christian needs three key relationships in their lives?  Just like the Apostle Paul, we all need:

• Barnabas - A spiritual mentor to walk before us and encourage us.
• Silas - A spiritual peer to walk beside us and partner with us.
• Timothy - A spiritual protege to follow behind us and be discipled by us.

Don't wait! Today is a great day to begin to cultivate those relationships in your life.  Are you? Here is one more sweet reminder from the scripture:

Hebrews 3:13 NKJV  but exhort one another daily, while it is called "TODAY," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Think about the other students and leaders involved in An Awesome Way to Pray. Choose one or two to purposely encourage in their faith this week. Give away encouragement instead of just looking to receive it.

Here's your takeaway: "Following Jesus is a personal decision but it is not a private decision."
