Supper for the Lions

Week Three - Day Four

Again He said, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I am sending you." 

(John 20:21 NLT)

Jesus has granted us His peace (Heb.-shalom).  Living from this love and acceptance will grant us the confidence to boldly live out His commission. Will there be obstacles?  Sure.  Will the road be difficult? Yes.  Did Jesus face opposition? Certainly.  As His disciples, our life is guaranteed to be like our Master's.

Jesus gives us this promise and the power to overcome.  He said,

 "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." 

(John 16:33 NLT)

Takeaway:  Jesus promised us His presence in the midst of trials, test, and difficulties.
